What we do

At Alternative Care we provide an excellent service of day care, residential care, domiciliary care and supported living units for a variety of needs. We offer a high quality of support for people with learning difficulties, mental health, brain injuries and physical disabilities in the community. We help them with finances, cooking, gaining access to leisure and social activities, health care and medication.

Our carers excel in areas such as managing risks and person centred planning. We embrace partnership and working with others such as community groups, learning disability teams and families. We provide care 7 days a week, around the clock, for over 100 individuals in the Wakefield and surrounding town’s area. Alternative Care gives our service users the support they need to lead a vibrant and fulfilled life. Creating access to every opportunity we can help to build pro-active and varied lifestyles.
